Who can Enter Invoices?
A user who wants to enter invoices must be given two rights, they are:
the right to view invoices to at least one 'contact type', and
the right to access the 'Receivable - INVOICE' menu bar selection.
These rights are managed by the administrator using the 'Manage Users' window.
Let's look at the case of Janet Taylor. She is a TeemWork user. Her team works in a company dealing in software development. One of her tasks in the company is to enter invoices to their clients.
Below are the steps taken to give Janet the right to enter invoices for the contact type, 'Clients'.
First, the team administrator opens the 'Manage Users' window with a click on the 'Manage Users' menu bar selection. This is shown in the first slide.

Next, the administrator selects the user Janet Taylor from the user list. She clicks Janet's line. After the user is highlighted, the 'Access to Contact Type' tab is clicked.
Below is a slide of the 'Access to Contact type' tab.

The administrator checks the contact type row, 'Client' under the column header, 'Can view Invoices.' Finally, the changes are saved. The administrator clicks the 'Save' button.
The slide shows the 'Save' button being clicked. The user now has the right to view invoices for the contact type, 'Client.'

The next set of steps, gives the user the right to 'Enter' invoices for the Contact type permitted in the above example. These steps to give the right to 'Enter' invoices are done using the features found in the 'Manage Users' window.
First, click the 'Advanced Functions' tab. Make sure the user's line is highlighted. If it is not, click the 'User' row in the list.
The 'Advanced Functions' tab is used for administration of the accounting rights featured in TeemWork. Below is an illustration of the 'Accounting' tab.
In the left hand side of the accounting tab is a column of check boxes. The second check box, if checked, allows the user to enter cheques. Remember that both the right to a contact type and this 'Invoice' rights are required to actually enter cheques.
The next step is to click the second check boxes with the caption, 'Have access to menu bar selection 'Receivables - INVOICES.' The final step is to click the 'Save' button. This step saves the changes made in this tab.

When a user has these two rights, they may view and enter invoices for the specified contact type. In the case of Janet Taylor, she can open the 'Invoice' window via the contact type, 'Client' contact card or by selecting 'Accounting' from the menu bar selection
The next slide illustrates Janet's menu bar selection. 'Accounting' is selected. She then selects the option, 'Receivables - INVOICES.'

The next slide shows the 'Invoice' window. To enter a new invoice, the user must first click the upper right hand button labelled, 'Enter a new Invoice.'

Janet Taylor always can access the 'Invoice' window via the 'Contacts' window. In this case Janet clicks the 'Contacts' menu bar selection.
Below is a slide of the 'Contacts' window after a contact is selected. The contact is, 'JP Restaurants inc.'

Next, Ms. Taylor clicks the lower right hand button labelled, 'Show Invoice List.' This opens up a window listing all the invoices entered for this particular contact.
Below is the final slide. It illustrates the 'Invoice List' for the contact.

The user can open the 'Invoice' window with a click to the button labelled, 'Make an Invoice.'
Either method to open the 'New Invoice' window is available to users given the rights to accounting and contact types.
A user can proceed to enter an invoice from 'New Invoice' window.
