Who can view Checks?
Users can view checks if the team administrator has given them the right to do so. The right to view checks is set individually by user and by 'contact type'.
In the first example, user Larry Potter is to be given the right to view checks of the contact type 'Suppliers.'
The administrator begins by opening the 'Manage Users' window. He does this with a click to the 'Manage Users' menu bar selection.

Below is a slide illustrating the 'Manage Users' window.

After the window is open, the administrator clicks on Larry Potter's line in the user list. The selected line becomes highlighted in yellow.
Then, the administrator clicks the 'Access to Contact Types' tab. The tab is located in the middle of the window.
The administrator selects the 'Contact Category' from the list, once the tab has been clicked open. The list is located on the left of the tab. In our example, the 'Standard' contact category is selected.
The administrator wants to grant Larry Potter the right to view checks for the 'Supplier' contact type. The administrator clicks the check box in the column labelled 'Can view Checks' in the 'Supplier' row.
Below is a view of the 'Access to Contact Types' tab after clicking the 'Can view Checks' check box.

The final step is to save the changes made. Click the 'Save' button. After the changes have been saved, the user may view checks for the selected contact type.
How do users view checks of a contact type? Users who have the right to view checks have an additional button available in their 'Contacts' window.
In the next slide, Larry Potter clicks the 'Contacts' menu bar selection.

After Larry has selected the 'Supplier' called, 'Bell A&E.' Larry can view the checks for this particular contact from the contact window.
The contact card for 'Bell A&E' is shown in the next slide.

In the example above, the user Larry Potter clicks the 'Show Check List' button. The 'Show Check List' window for the supplier, Bell A&E is shown in this next slide.

Larry is not permitted to view checks that have been issued to other contact types, like 'employees' or 'management'. This is done for security reasons.
Of course, users can be given the right to view checks that have been issued to more than one contact type.
A team may have lists of several contact types. A user may be given the right to view checks issued to one, two or more of these contact types.
To give a user the right to view checks issued to additional contact types, simply repeat the steps above.
All rights are set by the administrator. To read more about the administrator, click on 'Managing Users - Team Administration'.
