Once the check window is opened, the user selects the bank account from which the payment is to be withdrawn. To learn how to select a GL account to be a bank account, read, 'What is the 'Code' field?'

In this slide the bank name, 'Bank No. 210' is selected.

The user next clicks the check box labelled, 'This check was issued manually.'  After the check box is clicked, the 'Check Number' field become available for input. Enter a check number in this field.   Ernie enters the check number, 348' in the top left field.  Finally, enter the date for the printed check.  Ernie enters, 2001-04-19 in the 'Check date' field.

Below is the check after the completion of those three steps.  The check is ready to be issued.

Click the 'Save' button to issue the check.

A pop-up window appears when the save button is clicked.  Click the 'Yes' button.

The check has the status, 'NotCashed.'  The software has taken care of the accounting updates.  Because the check is printed manually it is up to the user to write a paper version of the check and issue it.
